Age Limit: At the time of admission, candidates should be a minimum of 17 years of age.

Minimum Marks Required (Aggregate): Minimum 50% in 10+2 in science subjects

Programs are open to a student who passed B. Pharm. with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University.

The minimum graduation marks required are 60% for the general category candidates and 55% for the SC/ST candidates.

A candidate must have clearly passed intermediate /10+2 level examination or any equivalent exam from any recognized Board/University in required compulsory subjects (Physics & Chemistry) and one optional subject( Mathematics/ Biology).

Things that fascinate Dr. Abhishek Gupta are Scientific & Critical Thinking.As an experienced professor of Pharmacy with more than 15 years of teaching and research experience, he has developed a reputation for excellence in the field. With a strong background in pharmacognosy, drug development, and critical thinking, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his teaching, and research roles.He did his M. Pharmacy from JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty and Ph.D. from CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute (Pharmacognosy & Ethnopharmacology Division), Lucknow, while working as a DST-Young Scientist Fellow. He has also worked as research associate and project assistant under different Government-funded projects of CSIR, ICAR, ICMR, and DST. He has a proven track record of securing external funding and published more than 30 national and international research articles, conference proceedings, chapters in books & an international patent. He is also running a course: Scientific & Critical Thinking 101- which mainly includes modules like Scientific & Critical thinking, Claim-Evidence-Reasoning, Logical Fallacies, Rationality & Biases, & Clinical reasoning mostly through Case Studies and Problem Based Learning In his teaching, he strives to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and lifelong learning. About Me

Presently heading the Department of Pharmaceutics, he is professionally known for research and academic excellence with a passionate experience of 19 years of mentoring and training brilliant minds. Highly efficient and coherent with a good eye for detail with a proactive approach to performance and data accuracy. He is a diligent professional with a long cherished research experience at Central Drug Research Institute and academic expertise. He has extensive experience in modern teaching aids, drug information resources, scientific information retrieval, and relevant software programs. During his academic journey, he disseminated his strong subject knowledge to students in the area of solid-state pharmaceutics, product development, biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics, recent advances in drug delivery systems. He established the state-of-the-art pharmaceutics research lab for postgraduate students at Hygia. His research interests are focused on the formulation of the solid dosage form and developed formulations. He has guided more than 30 students for their post- graduate dissertation work. Published papers in journals of international repute and authored book chapters in a book by the well-established editor. Peer-reviewed in international journals (AAPS Journal, Analytica Chimica Acta).A confident presenter at national and international conferences, a motivated teacher in the classroom; he is able to explain complex information to audiences of all levels. Uses current pedagogical techniques to engage postgraduate students and implement team-teaching strategies to encourage sharing of ideas in the classroom. He was awarded CSIR Technology Award for innovation -2009, Team Member. He secured Senior Research Fellowship, CSIR, and GATE fellowship.
